TPS is a software house entirely and exclusively dedicated to the development of a modern and proper management of the allergic patient. Founded in 2003 through a collaboration between a specialist allergist and a computer engineer, the company has grown over time by involving employees and consultants with recognized expertise in both the medical and scientific areas as well as in informatics.

The "mission" of TPS is the use of advanced information technologies to improve the care of patients with allergic diseases. This ambitious target includes several aspects:

  • to facilitate communication between the doctor and the patient;

 • to enable an integrated view and perspective of the patient's past medical history;

 • to facilitate access to databases of drugs and allergens;

 • to facilitate adherence to national and international guidelines;

 • to make an easy monitoring of symptoms and response to therapy;

 • to increase patient compliance and its adherence to preventive and therapeutic medical prescriptions;

 • to support education and training of the allergic  patient and foster his conscious participation and consent to a diagnostic and therapeutic management plan;

 • to encourage a reduction of economic and social costs of allergic disease through a better doctor-patient interaction.

In pursuit of this "mission", TPS uses multiple tools, including web-sites, online training, management software, links to databases, medical records for research, specialist networks, consultation forums and mailing-list patients. All together, these tools are characterized as the highest and diverse set of initiatives based on information technology available today in the field of allergic diseases.
